Ivy

With each step I take, I feel more confident. This is exactly what I need.

My little black dress is both classy and cute and makes me feel like the sex kitten my publicist wants me to be.

But Karen would not approve of my actions tonight. No, tonight isn’t for my brand image. It’s just for me.

Tonight holds all my wildest fantasies.

I just have to be brave enough to experience it.

My heels click loudly on the marble floors of the room I rented. It’s not my hotel room, but part of a scene. Tonight, I’m putting on a performance I hope empowers me. Since the scandal, I’ve felt lost. I haven’t been able to be with a man since the last one betrayed me.

Things will be different after tonight, though. I feel it in the air, and hope rises in my belly.

I leave the lights off as I walk up to the large bay windows and look across to the old Salem law firm, the second location in my naughty game.

Moving to the bedroom, a rush of adrenaline runs up my spine.

Per my request, a king-size mattress sits pushed up to the floor-to-ceiling window, covered in pillows.

Moving closer, I see a black bowl with frosty purple grapes inside. I shed my coat and look out the window to the person watching me. All I see is a dark office building, but I know he’s there.

Because I know he’s watching me, I make a show of unzipping my dress and slowly pushing it down. I place it over a chair, so it doesn’t wrinkle, and then in nothing but a black lace bra and thong, I move to the bed. The moonlight is beautiful, but I worry it’s not enough.

Without hesitating, I turn on two of the four small lamps set out around the mattress. Then move a few pillows and lay down comfortably.

My nerves are still making me a bit uncomfortable, so I reach for my phone and turn on a calming playlist. It’s sexy and smooth. The beats set the mood, moving through me with both a relaxing effect and a horny one.

I bite my lip as look around all the windows across the street in the building where someone is watching me right now. His eyes are on my body I can feel them.

My skin is hot with his touching gaze, and soon my hand wanders to my underwear. Beneath the lace, my fingers find my clit, and I begin to rub myself, thinking of the same haunting blue eyes I always do.

My head falls back against the pillows, my legs fall open, and my hips begin to move. I’m falling into the scene with no prompts. I was worried I couldn’t do this. That I would chicken out or wouldn’t be turned on, but I am. I’m a million degrees, and my hand is working me into knots that make my toes curl. It’s delicious torture.

Remembering the grapes, I pause to look for the bowl.

I find them, and they’re cold.
